Dee with her Best Corset Creation award 2006-03-17, Texas Latex Party

Earlier this month we flew to Houston for the 14th annual Texas Latex Party. Although this was our first time to attend TLP, we were very flattered that Dee won the award for Best Corset Creation wearing her matching green suede corset, collar and cuffs by Paul C Leather.

Judy, Dan, Dee and Mick at the Gala Here's a shot of two friends we met in Houston, Dan and Judy, who actually signed up for the event because they knew we were coming. Like we've said many times, if you want to meet us, the best way is to attend a fetish event with us...our Events page.

Both nights we had a playspace, filled with wonderful appropriate play furniture, not to be mistaken for evil dungeon furniture. Both nights we stuck with rope bondage. Friday night I finally succeeded in tying Dee's elbows in an inescapable tie:

I was glad this tie worked out, because Phil Carson was there, and I wouldn't want Dee escaping while he was watching.

Finally, I can't resist telling this story. Now hotel parties are always a challenge, unless you're Thunder in the Mountains and can take over the whole hotel. We've been at many fun, kinky parties alongside high school proms and girls soccer teams. There is always some trepidation on the part of hotel management about the juxtaposition of fetish and vanilla guests.

The TLP group was very good, but we still found this flyer taped to the elevator on our floor (first picture at left). So many of us walked back and forth to swimming parties and meals with white terry cloth robes over our more expressive outfits.

By Saturday night, there were vanilla people sitting around the bar wearing their hotel bathrobes, too. On our way to the playspace party Saturday night, we had a couple of vanillas in bath robes ask if they could come to our party, and our group security turned away several non-TLP people wearing bathrobes trying to crash our party.

If there is a terry cloth fetish fad this year, we'll know where it started.
