We're back. We survived, again. We had fun. What a month.

We spent last weekend at FetishCon 2004 in Tampa, Florida (this is the event formerly known as BondCon NYC). This is an industry event for producers, photographers, models, web masters and fans of Bondage and Fetish.

We have lots of friends in the fetish "industry", so for us it was fun to meet friends old and new, buy a corset, shoes, and other toys, and party.

The first night we went to a party thrown by Alter Ego Erotics and Gwen Media. The party was held at Club Underground.

This is a very nice club, but it is a loud, smoky place (basically a much younger scene than Dee and I tend to like). There was some really great dungeon furniture provided by Fetish Factory. It is also a public bar, so we assume that nudity violates Florida law.

Dee was wearing her green suede corset by Paul C Leather, which is a fabulous piece for a fetish evening, but I have to take it off her to do any serious whipping, flogging, or single-tailing.

Having mainly just rope with me, I was inspired by a photo of a "Temple Knot Harness" done by GrayDancer from Kimusubi Media on the Yahoo Group AdultRopeArt to weave a rope garment for Dee using the Chinese Temple Knot to cover her nipples.

The next day we skipped the off-site parties, for fear of not finding a smoke-free play space. Instead, we hung out in the convention area during the fan photo shoot, and just played with rope. When the convention closed out, we headed to the hotel's bar for drinks. Of course, I had to tie Dee's hands behind her back and send her to the bar for drinks.

We only had a two-seat table, so when a friend joined us, I had Dee kneel on the floor next to my chair while the friend sat in her seat. We got some fun looks from the non-fetish people in the bar. The "straights" also had fun staring at the famous bondage models in leather, vinyl and rubber who were also drinking in the bar.

We left the bar so late that we figured the kids should all be in bed, so I left Dee's hands tied and had her carry our bag back to the room. Here are some photos in the hallway and elevator.

That night Dee fell right asleep, but I wasn't tired, so I worked off my boredom by tieing her to the bed after she fell asleep. She woke up in the middle of the night, and I had to release her to go to the bathroom. But she fell asleep and I tied her again. When she woke up the next morning, she was again spread-eagled and subjected to an hour of vibrator-induced orgasms.

By Sunday, Hurricane Jeanne had hit the east coast of Florida, and we hunkered inside the hotel and attended some great workshops and demonstrations. Dee got to be the lucky demonstration subject for the "Safe take-downs and total restraint" class given by Sgt Major Derek Viktur.

We missed the opportunity to do an outdoor bondage shoot in the middle of the Hurricane (mainly for fear of getting the cameras wet), but we did send Dee out into the storm to get some shot of the gale-force winds blowing her clothes and hair.

Sunday night was the big bondage bash and ball to cap off the weekend. Unfortunately for us, just after dinner and just before the party, the hotel and much of the surrounding area lost power. For us this meant we dressed in the dark for the party. We talked to another fetish model working for TheBondageChannel.COM who was filming a forced-orgasm scene when the power went off. Fortunately for all, the producer had a battery-powered backup vibrator and was able to bring the filming (and the model) to a satisfactory climax.

By the time we got to the hotel lobby, a mix of fetish and non-fetish people were gathered waiting for explanations and relief. The hotel set up a water stand and gave out chemical glow light sticks. This was when it really paid to be a convention attendee.

The hotel set up a generator and brought in a big fan so we had lights, music, food and a cash bar. Since the computers were down, no one could buy a day pass, so the non-attendees had to make do with the hotel lobby.

The rest of us had a Hurricane Party (and being from a southern state originally, I've been to my share of Hurricane Parties). This was the best ever.

Dee was dressed as a pirate wench, and modelled many different rope restraints throughout the evening. Dee spent a lot of time in front of the big fan cooling off (without power, the AC was off, and Florida is a really hot place without AC), so I borrowed some electrical tape and allowed Dee to remove her hot, velvet pirate top. That left her in a pair of PVC hot pants, and two treasure-map markers.

It's true that the evening pretty much sucked when we got back to our room. Hot and sweaty from playing in an un-air conditioned room, and Dee with black electrical tape adhesive still outlining her nipples, we had no air, no light, no power and no water to clean up with.

But the party was a blast...there's nothing like getting a room full of sexy bondage models together with a bunch of rope-happy riggers and camera-toting fans to make a party.
