We love visiting the Valley of Fire State Park

In Nevada, just 40 minutes north of Las Vegas

Ward and Jean came along
|
And Ward brought his camera so we get some shots of Mick
|
The main areas are too crowded for much shooting
|
So at first we only got flashing photos
|

But at the White Domes trail, we got some space
|

While doing recon, we spotted this old movie prop
|
The movie was shot in 1966 and starred Claudia Cardinale
|
So Ward and the girls rested

While Mick hiked back to the SUV and grabbed the rope
|
While we waited for the trail to clear
|
The other hikers wondered why the girls were wearing sarongs
|
But no one asked about it
|
Or asked why they were hiking barefoot
|
Jean hikes to the move set
|
Finally, the last couple leaves the area
|

But this lone hiker showed up
|
So I untied them and gave them their wraps
|
