We drove four hours from LA to the desert
And as soon as we got there, a big cloud came over
So the light was lousy
Even though the model was lovely
And the dry lake bed was amazing
So we gave up on El Mirage for that day
Driving to Joshua Tree...
We came out from under the cloud
And saw the sunset light was amazing
So we pulled off about 100 yards on a mining road
And snapped a dozen sunset nudes
With the sun setting fast
I grabbed a couple of ropes and did a sixty-second takate-kote
And caught dee on this small hill in full sunset light
This was the money shot
Dee is really trapped on this hill
I took her shoes away for the photos
And the desert floor all around the hill is littered with broken glass bottles
You can see her shadow stretches for hundreds of feet
Dee tries to manuver without her hands
The wind was gusting to 20 mph
Giving Dee's hair this wonderful wild look
With the shoot almost done
Dee notices the cars driving by on the highway
