Damsel Loses a Dress |

This is about the hardest we ever worked for a gallery. First we spent a day shopping in
a Goodwill Store in San Francisco for disposable clothes that had a pioneer look to them.
Second we drove four hours into the desert. Third we hiked about two miles through burned
out terrain to an abandoned gold mine to shoot Dee tied to a large steel winch.
We got really lucky. Mick scoped out this location last summer, and it was a popular attraction,
with people visiting at least every 10 minutes. But this Fall we took a chance and had almost
45 minutes alone to shoot. We passed people on the way to and from the mine, but our timing
was perfect. There was very little risk of being spotted, of course, because the only way
in or out of the site was a trail we could see from where we were.
The mine itself is chained off, which is a pity. I'd have loved to do a suspension scene
off the mine apparatus. I settled for a wench on a winch.
