Net

This is our first attempt at making a suspension net using the Japanese Bend (Ashley #1423). When we first met David Lawrence, he was curious about our Macrame rope dresses. He said he wanted to make a rope dress using this knot, which he called a "Ten Knot".

I waited, but I haven't seen it yet. Rather than use it in a dress, I've decided to tie Dee up in a rope net and suspend her from a hook.

This will be like out Sideways Gallery, in that it will likely take several attempts before I'm happy with the result.

In this case, I only used four ropes, so the mesh was too open. That meant that when I hoisted Dee into the air, the pressure on her shins was too great for comfort.
